Prescription to Prediction: The Ancient Sciences in Cross-Cultural Perspective
6-7 October 2022
Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore
The international collaborative project Scientific Papyri from Ancient Egypt in Cross-Cultural Perspective (SciPap) is happy to announce its third annual conference to be held at Johns Hopkins University on October 6–7, 2022. This year’s conference aims to widen scholarly and public awareness of the immense and diverse bodies of ancient scientific literature by convening experts currently working on published and unpublished sources from various parts of the ancient world. The hope is to add previously unknown dimensions to the present understanding of knowledge systems of the past and to further the study of cross-cultural interaction in antiquity.
